University of Western Australia Rugby Football Club: Facilities
Riley Oval: home of the University of Western Australia Rugby Football Club from 1929-1993
The UWA Rugby Club has its clubrooms at UWA Sports Park in Mt Claremont. With recent refurbishment (with thanks to Chris Brook JBJ Plasterers) we now have a clubroom we are all proud of.
Facilities include:
- New Clubrooms with Licensed bar and audio visual support;
- Adjacent grounds;
- Changerooms;
- Weights room;
- First Aid room;
- Archives Room;
- Equipment sheds.
Nearby Challenge Stadium houses the Western Australian Institute of Sport, and a world class swimming venue as well as a Lifecare facility focusing on sports medicine.
Gym membership for University players is significantly discounted at the UWA Sports & Recreation Gym on campus.
The bar area is available for limited bookings subject to the Club's needs. Thursday, Friday and Saturday during the season (at present April to Sept) are not usually available.
Bookings outside the rugby union season may not be possible, to comply with the University of Western Australia's policy on hosting events responsibly.
