Women's Supporters Team 1968

The UWARFC women's team first hit the paddock in 2002, and has eagerly returned every season since then. The competition in Perth usually consists of 6 to 8 teams, who generally play alongside the other senior teams in the club.

We have welcomed players from the U.S., Britain, Sweden, Austria, France, and all around Australia. Some of these players saw their first game of rugby at University Rugby Club, and we had the honour of introducing them to the game.

Women's rugby is a great way to meet new people and get fit at the same time. Our team is a mix of beginners and experienced players, so those who have no knowledge of the game are taught from the basic skills. All shapes and sizes of players are needed to make up a team, so there will always be a place for your body shape, fitness, and level of experience. Our team is complemented by excellent coaches and managers, and we are well supported by coaches from the higher men's grades.
