Uni Rugby Bursaries and Scholarships
Uni Rugby has established a unique scholarship scheme to assist players maintain their study commitments whilst at Uni. Commenced in 2000 the program now boasts over 60 players have been assisted by this program. The UWA Rugby Club is supported by the UWA Sport and Recreation Association who also offer a scholarship to a talented rugby student athlete.

congratulates bursary & scholarship winners Lachlan Radnedge, Ryan de
Franck, David Akers, Michael Patching, Will Maddern, Michael Woods and Tim
Maddern. Absent were Shaun Hardcastle, Andrew Dopson and Cameron Boys.
Shaun Hardcastle
and Lachlan Radnedge received scholarships from the University Sports Guild and
the eight others won club bursaries.
Who Can
Apply:
Playing members of the University Rugby Club who are
currently studying or wish to undertake studies full time at the University of
Western Australia.
Guidelines:
Applicants should be
full time students in either Higher Education or TAFE studies, have a
demonstrated ability in the sport or ability to contribute significantly to the
Club. They should seek advancement in the sport of rugby union, including
coaching or refereeing, the promotion of juniors, and be able to participate
fully in all club activities.
Value:
Cost of
University fees for up to three years study, club membership.

Initially by letter, outlining academic information and playing
background.
