UWA Rugby Club is renowned throughout Perth for its expansive style of rugby and special social life. We run 5 mens XVs, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade, 4th Grade and U/20 Colts. UWA Rugby also fields a Ladies XV that had its inaugural season in 2002. As well as Senior Rugby we have numerous teams for different youth age groups from Under 6 to Under 15. 4TH GRADE BACK TO BACK UNDEFEATED PREMIERS & COLTS WIN IT TOO
Club records continue to build as the 4th Grade won consecutive grand finals. More impressive is that both these Premierships capped off undefeated seasons. Three tries to one saw UWA defeat Wests 20-8.
Colts demolished arch rival Associates with an emphatic 23-12 victory to see UWA record 2 wins from our 2 teams in the GF.
Next Sat 11th Sept sees the Club windup with the 18th Sept the mighty Muzz Buzz 4th Grade wind up at Muzz Buzz Central.

U/15 and U/13 ADVANCE TO GRAND FINALS
The UWA Junior Rugby Club is proud of its two Grand Finalist teams, the U/15 and U/13 sides. The U/15 team has next week off after disposing of Sth Lions 33-12 whilst U/13s defeated Nedlands 26-0 in their major semi finals.

UWA U/12 RUNNERS UP AT GUIDFORD 7's
The U/12 team finished as Runners Up in the Plate Final. The squad of 12 played 8 games on the day. Inspirational was Ben Chamberlain who earlier in the day came 6th overall of all entrants in the 4km of the City to Surf. His time was a little over 14 minutes. He then raced out to Guildford to play the remaining 5 games and be our top try scorer. Well done all.

COLTS WIN CLUB'S 49TH PREMIERSHIP WHILE 4THS WIN CLUB'S 50TH MINOR PREMIERSHIP
Records continue to roll in with this season seeing the first time since 1975 for the Club to win 2 Premierships in the season when the Colts and 3rd Grade both won. The 4ths won for Club it's 50th Minor Premiership trophy whilst the Colts won the Club its 49th Premiership. BARKWILL ENDS GREAT YEAR WITH PERTH XV SELECTION

UWA RUGBY IVY LEAGUE TOUR TO USA
UWA Rugby will venture to the USA from 1-17 October 2010 to share our love of the game with our Ivy League colleagues. Games are scheduled against our fellow Universty based clubs of Harvard, Potomas Athletic Club and Yale and continues our association with North America when we last toured in 1994 with UWA playing matches in Portland Oregon, Vancouver and Honolulu.

UWA To Host 2010 Australian University Games.
With UWA winning Division 2 of the 7's Rugby with a comprehensive 34-24 defeat of Maquarie University in the final at the 2009 AUG it has seen UWA promoted to Div 1. This will see UWA in Div 1 for the first time in over 30 years. This year with UWA hosting the Australian University Games our goals are high to medal in Division 1 against the likes of Sydney Uni and University of Queensland. Any interested UWA students should contact Rick Wolters at UWA to be considered.
